What to expect
Children with PCH2, as well as healthy children, frequently suffer from infections, but are more likely than healthy children to experience severe cases. The respiratory tract is particularly often affected, and pneumonia frequently develops. Some cases of pneumonia are also caused by the swallowing disorder associated with PCH2.
In our online session on August 12, 2026 at 7 p.m. CET, Dr. Andrea Bevot spoke about the latest findings on infections in PCH2 in German. In a subsequent open Q&A session, the speaker was available to answer questions.
Dr. Andrea Bevot is a senior attending physician in pediatric neurology at University Hospital Tübingen and head of the Social Pediatric Center there. She cares for many children with PCH2.
